FEN-1 (Flap Endonuclease and Five prime Exonuclease)는 42 kDa 단백질로, 단일가닥 5' 플랩 구조를 포함한 가지형 DNA를 절단하는 엔도뉴클레이스 또는 DNA 닉 및 갭에서 작용하는 엑소뉴클레이스로 기능합니다. FEN-1의 활성이 핵 내에서 증식세포핵항원(PCNA)과의 결합에 의해 자극되며, DNA 복제 및 수선에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 세포 없는 DNA 복제 시스템에서도 필수적인 인자로 작용합니다.
