Target Information
U2AF1 belongs to the splicing factor SR family. The U2 auxiliary factor, consisting of large and small subunits, is a non-snRNP protein essential for U2 snRNP binding to the pre-mRNA branch site. The small subunit encoded by this gene mediates RNA splicing interactions between the large subunit and enhancer-binding proteins. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist.
