Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간암(hepatoma) 또는 기형종(teratoma)과 연관될 수 있으며, 일부에서는 병리적 이상 없이 유전적으로 지속될 수도 있습니다.
AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형으로 간주되며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 같은 방향으로 인접합니다. 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 수치는 신경관 결손(spina bifida, anencephaly) 선별에 사용되며, 혈청 AFP 상승은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포종양 등에서 관찰됩니다.
