Product Specific Information
The eBioMC-813-70 monoclonal antibody reacts with a glycolipid carbohydrate epitope on Stage-specific embryonic antigen-4 (SSEA-4) protein.
Expression is found on human teratocarcinoma stem cells (EC), embryonic germ cells (EG), induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, and embryonic stem cells (ES), with a decrease upon differentiation. Expression has also been reported in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.
This antibody cross-reacts with mouse, rabbit, canine, chicken, and Old/New World monkeys.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on 2102Ep cell line at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell numbers may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Fluorochrome Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.
- Excitation: 488 nm (Blue Laser)
- Emission: 710 nm
Recommended filters: 685 LP dichroic mirror and 710/40 band pass filter (695/40 acceptable).
PerCP-eFluor® 710 conjugates are stable when samples are fixed overnight at 4°C in freshly prepared 2% formaldehyde.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
SSEA-4 (Stage-specific embryonic antigen 4)
A cell surface antigen expressed in embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells, and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS).
In human cells, SSEA-3, SSEA-4, TRA-1-60, and TRA-1-81 are down-regulated during differentiation, while SSEA-1 is upregulated.
In mouse stem cells, SSEA-1 decreases with differentiation, whereas SSEA-3 and SSEA-4 increase.
