Target Information
ALS2CR11 has two isoforms produced by alternative splicing. An autosomal recessive form of juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis was mapped to chromosome 2 including this gene. The encoded protein contains a calcium-dependent membrane-targeting C2 domain, commonly found in proteins involved in membrane trafficking and signal transduction.
