Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Ribosomal Protein L22 (RPL22), also known as heparin-binding protein HBp15, binds heparin in the submandibular gland and brain. It associates with Epstein-Barr virus–encoded RNAs (EBERs) in infected B lymphocytes. RPL22 contains a globular domain on the ribosomal subunit surface and an extended loop that penetrates its core, contacting multiple domains of 23S rRNA, suggesting a potential role in rRNA folding during ribosomal assembly.
