ADAM17 (disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 17)은 TNF-α 전구체를 절단하여 성숙형 가용성 형태로 전환시키는 효소입니다. 또한 다양한 세포 표면 단백질(p75 TNF receptor, IL receptor type II, TGF-α, L-selectin 등)을 절단하여 방출하며, Notch 경로 활성화에도 관여합니다.
이 단백질의 유전자 변이는 염증성 피부 및 장 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
