Product Specific Information

The HIB19 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells during all stages of development except terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, which associates with BCR to induce tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells. Use 5 µL (0.6 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Compatibility Notice:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Required for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL cell sample for single-color controls. Cat. No. C001T06F01.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology based on nucleic acid dye structures for engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread impacts.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and regulates B cell activation and proliferation. Mutations lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
