Target Information
NUAK1 (ARK5) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple cellular processes. Overexpression is associated with tumor invasion and metastasis, particularly in colorectal cancer.
It regulates cellular senescence and ploidy by phosphorylating LATS1 at Ser-464, influencing its stability.
Controls cell adhesion through regulation of myosin protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) activity by phosphorylating PPP1R12A, which interacts with 14-3-3 proteins to reduce MLC2 dephosphorylation.
Participates in DNA damage response by phosphorylating p53 at Ser-15 and Ser-392 and assisting in transcription activation at the CDKN1A/WAF1 promoter.
Acts as a tumor malignancy-associated factor under AKT1 regulation, promoting invasion and metastasis.
Suppresses Fas-induced apoptosis by phosphorylating CASP6, preventing caspase activation and CFLAR cleavage.
Regulates UV-induced DNA damage response with STK11 by phosphorylating CDKN1A, aiding its degradation for optimal DNA repair.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
