Target Information
GARS (Glycyl-tRNA synthetase) is one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This protein forms an (alpha)₂ dimer and belongs to the class II family of tRNA synthetases. It has been identified as a target of autoantibodies in human autoimmune diseases such as polymyositis and dermatomyositis.
