CD235a (Glycophorin A, GPA)는 성숙 적혈구와 적혈구 전구세포에서 발현되는 단일 통과막 시알로글라이코프로테인입니다. CD235a는 M 및 N 혈액형 특이성을 운반하며, 세포 융합을 억제하고 적혈구 간 응집을 최소화하는 점액질 장벽 역할을 합니다. 또한 Sandei 바이러스, 파르보바이러스, Streptococcus adhesin Hsa의 수용체로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
