Target Information
This gene encodes a protein similar to the breakpoint cluster region gene located on chromosome 22. The encoded protein contains a GTPase-activating protein domain, typical of Rho family GTP-binding proteins. Studies in mice indicate a role in vestibular morphogenesis, suggesting that Rho-related GTPases coordinate motor skills and balance. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been reported.
