Target Information
RAD23B는 효모 Saccharomyces cerevisiae의 Rad23과 상동성을 가지는 인간 단백질로, 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구(NER)에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 xeroderma pigmentosum group C (XP-C) 세포 추출물의 결함을 보완하는 단백질 복합체의 구성 성분이며, 3-methyladenine-DNA glycosylase (MPG)와 상호작용하여 염기 절제 복구 과정에서 DNA 손상 인식에 관여합니다. 또한 N-말단의 유비퀴틴 유사 도메인을 통해 26S 프로테아좀과 상호작용하여 세포 내 유비퀴틴 매개 단백질 분해 경로에 참여할 수 있습니다.
