MA3-075 detects TATA-Binding Protein (TBP) Associated factor 4 from human and mouse samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications.
The immunogen is a recombinant TAF4 protein, with epitope localized between amino acids 815 and 836.

Target Information

TAF II p105 (TAF4B) is a cell-type specific transcriptional co-activator and a component of the TFIID complex.
It is mainly expressed in B cells and ovarian granulosa cells and interacts with OCBA/POU2AF1 to activate B cell-specific transcription.
TAF II p105 also co-activates NFκB and is essential for activation of anti-apoptotic genes such as TNFAIP3.
TAF II p135 (TAF4) is a 1,085 amino acid subunit of TFIID that accelerates transcriptional activation triggered by thyroid hormone (TR) or retinoic acid (RA).
Localized to the nucleus, TAF II p135 contains a TAFH domain and binds proteins with glutamine-rich domains, such as transcription factor CREB.
