Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
EIF2a (Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A) is a heterotrimer composed of three subunits (alpha, beta, and gamma).
It mediates the binding of initiator methionyl-tRNA to the 40S ribosome in an AUG-dependent manner to form the 43S pre-initiation complex.
Phosphorylation of EIF2A by stress-activated kinases inhibits EIF2B activity and prevents guanine nucleotide exchange.
