Target Information
SM-MHC (Smooth Muscle Myosin Heavy Chain) is a cytoplasmic structural protein and a major component of the contractile apparatus in smooth muscle cells. Its expression is developmentally regulated and specific to smooth muscle development. Two isoforms have been identified: MHC-1 and MHC-2.
