Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The protein encoded by BAD is a member of the BCL-2 family, which regulates programmed cell death. BAD promotes apoptosis by forming heterodimers with BCL-xL and BCL-2, reversing their death repressor activity. Its proapoptotic activity is regulated through phosphorylation by kinases such as AKT and MAP kinase, and phosphatase calcineurin. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
