CD3d는 T-cell receptor/CD3 complex (TCR/CD3 complex)의 구성 요소로, T-cell 발달 및 신호전달에 관여합니다. CD3d 단백질은 CD3 복합체의 델타 서브유닛으로, 다른 서브유닛들과 함께 TCR α/β 또는 TCR γ/δ와 결합하여 TCR/CD3 복합체를 형성합니다.
CD3d 유전자 결함은 T-cell-negative/B-cell-positive/NK-cell-positive 형태의 중증복합면역결핍증(SCIDBNK)을 유발할 수 있습니다. 두 가지 전사체 변이가 보고되었으며, 다른 변이도 존재할 수 있습니다.
