Target Information
CEACAM1 (CD66a) is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family within the immunoglobulin superfamily. It functions as a cell adhesion molecule expressed on leukocytes, epithelial, and endothelial cells. CEACAM1 mediates both homophilic and heterophilic interactions, contributing to tissue organization, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and modulation of immune responses. Multiple isoforms have been reported, with two full-length forms characterized.
