TFG protein은 인간에서 새롭게 확인된 단백질로, mouse TFG의 상동체입니다. N-terminal coiled-coil 구조와 SPYGQ-rich 영역, octicosapeptide 반복 서열을 포함합니다. 연구 결과 TFG는 SHP-1 활성 조절 및 NF-kB 경로의 새로운 구성원으로 작용할 수 있습니다.
TFG는 NTRK1과 결합하여 thyroid TRK-T3 oncogene을 형성하며, ALK와 NOR1과의 융합을 통해 다양한 종양 발생에 관여합니다.
