Target Information
CALHM2 (also known as FAM26B) is a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated ion channel.
It functions as an ATP-releasing channel that modulates neural activity and may be associated with depression risk.
There are three isoforms of CALHM2 with calculated molecular weights of 36 kDa, 24 kDa, and 22 kDa.
In western blot analysis with membrane protein extracts, it typically appears at 32–36 kDa.
