Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL-17. Treatment of endothelial cells with this cytokine stimulates the production of other cytokines including IL-6, IL-8, and CSF2 (GM-CSF). Increased IL-8 expression induced by this cytokine is NF-kappa B-dependent.
