This ILCID2 monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse and human ID2.
This antibody requires the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set and performs poorly with standard IC Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes using Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00)
- Refer to BestProtocols®: Protocol B for intracellular protein staining.
- Recommended ≤1.0 µg per test (100 µL final volume).
- Optimal cell numbers: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirical).
- Carefully titrate for best assay performance.

Target Information
The inhibitor of DNA binding 2 (ID2) protein is essential for the development of multiple cell types, including natural killer cells, erythroid precursors, and CD8⁺/CD4⁺ T cells.
Lack of ID2 promotes B-cell development. ID2 interacts with E proteins and other HLH family proteins, preventing DNA binding and transcription activation.
Activation of ID2 is critical for natural killer cell lineage development.
