Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달과 성장에 관여하는 막단백질입니다.
BST2의 표면 발현은 전구 B세포주(DW34)의 성장에 관여하며, B세포 발달 단계 전반에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
또한 BST2는 인간 세포에서의 레트로바이러스 방출 억제 기능을 가지며, HIV-1 보조 단백질 Vpu에 의해 길항됩니다.
BST2 결핍 시 Vpu 의존적 바이러스 방출이 사라지며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료 연구에 잠재적 타겟으로 고려됩니다.
BST2 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
