Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)는 B세포 발달 및 성장에 관여하는 막단백질입니다. BST2의 표면 발현은 pre-B 세포주 DW34의 성장에 영향을 주며, B세포 발달 전 단계부터 형질세포까지, T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포 등 다양한 세포에서 발현됩니다.
연구 결과, BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하는 기능을 가지며, HIV-1 단백질 Vpu에 의해 길항됩니다. BST2의 결핍은 바이러스 방출 조절에 영향을 주며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료 전략으로 연구되고 있습니다. 또한 BST2 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과 관련이 있습니다.
