Target Information
Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 5 (TTC5) is part of a diverse group of proteins characterized by one or more tetratricopeptide repeats (TPR). Each TPR motif consists of two anti-parallel α-helices, forming a right-handed helical structure with an amphipathic channel that accommodates complementary regions of target proteins.
Although TTC5’s exact function is not fully understood, TPR motifs are known to mediate protein-protein interactions, including those involving chaperones such as HSP70 and HSP90 and proteins in cell stress response pathways like protein phosphatase 5. This suggests TTC5 may also function through TPR-mediated interactions.
