Target Information
Rab 41 (Ras-related protein Rab-41)은 222개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, small GTPase superfamily 및 Rab family에 속합니다. Rab family 단백질은 막 수송(membrane trafficking)의 조절자로 작용하며, GDP 결합 비활성 상태와 GTP 결합 활성 상태 사이를 순환합니다. 이러한 전환은 GTP 가수분해 활성 단백질(GAPs)에 의해 조절됩니다. Rab 41은 GAP 단백질 RN-Tre에 의해 활성화될 수 있으며, 골지체(Golgi complex)에 국소화되어 단백질 수송 및 GTP 결합에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 두 가지 대체 스플라이싱된 이소폼으로 존재하며, RAB41 유전자는 인간 X 염색체의 Xq13.1 위치에 존재합니다. X 염색체에는 약 1,000개의 유전자가 있으며, 색맹, 혈우병, 듀센 근이영양증 등 남성에게 더 자주 발생하는 유전 질환들이 포함되어 있습니다.
