PETNFABI targets TNF Alpha in ELISA and WB applications and shows reactivity with Equine samples.
The PETNFABI immunogen is recombinant Equine TNF alpha.
PETNFABI detects TNF Alpha with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 25 kDa.
The PETNFABI polyclonal biotinylated equine TNFa antibody has been successfully paired as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with capture antibody PETNFAI.
Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include:

• 1 µg/mL for coating
• 0.125–0.25 µg/mL for detection

Target Information

TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and binds to receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR.
TNF alpha regulates immune cells, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation.
It exists as multimers of two to five noncovalently linked units, showing a single 17 kDa band under non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions.
Knockout studies in mice suggest neuroprotective functions and tumor necrosis activity when injected into tumor-bearing mice.
TNF alpha is involved in immune responses to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections, and plays roles in autoimmune disease, insulin resistance, and cancer.
