Target Information
The protein encoded by SMARCC1 is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which possess helicase and ATPase activities and are involved in chromatin remodeling. These proteins regulate gene transcription by altering chromatin structure and are part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI. SMARCC1 contains a predicted leucine zipper motif typical of many transcription factors.
