Target Information
Occludin은 65 kDa 단백질로, 다양한 인산화 형태(최대 약 82 kDa)로 존재할 수 있습니다. Occludin은 세포 간 접촉 부위에서의 위치 및 기능 조절에 관여하며, polyunsaturated fatty acids에 의해 발현이 증가되어 세포 간 저항을 높이고 대분자 투과성을 감소시킵니다.
조직에 따라 발현 수준이 다르며, 뇌 조직에서는 지속적으로 높은 발현을 보이는 반면, 비신경 조직에서는 낮은 발현과 불연속적인 분포를 나타냅니다. Occludin의 구조적 특징은 다양한 종에서 매우 보존되어 있습니다.
Tight junction 단백질의 발현 저하는 종양성 혈관의 투과성 증가와 관련되어 있으며, 이는 뇌종양 부종의 주요 분자적 원인 중 하나로 알려져 있습니다.
