Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸에 관여하는 퍼옥시다제 계열 단백질입니다. 약 50여 종의 단백질이 아미노산 서열 상동성, 특히 활성 부위 시스테인 잔기를 포함하는 아미노 말단 영역에 따라 분류됩니다.
포유류 Prx는 typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx 세 그룹으로 나뉘며, 대부분은 thioredoxin 의존성 퍼옥시다제(TPx) 활성을 가집니다.
Prx I, II, VI는 세포질에, Prx III는 미토콘드리아에, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비계에, Prx V는 과산화소체, 미토콘드리아, 세포질 등 다양한 위치에 분포합니다.
분자량은 약 20–30 kDa입니다.
