Target Information
PPM1A (Protein phosphatase 1A), also known as PPPM1A, belongs to the PP2C family. It is a serine/threonine protein phosphatase essential for regulating cellular stress responses in eukaryotes. PPM1A plays an important role in tumor suppression and negatively controls multiple signaling pathways critical for trophoblast invasion. The protein is distributed in both cytoplasm and nucleus of mammalian cells and has two isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
