This antibody detects endogenous levels of total TCEB1 protein.
Target Information
TCEB1, also known as elongin C, is a subunit of the transcription factor B (SIII) complex, which includes elongins A/A2, B, and C. This complex enhances RNA polymerase II elongation by suppressing transient pausing during transcription. Elongin A serves as the active component, while elongins B and C act as regulatory subunits. Elongin A2 is testis-specific and forms a stable complex with elongins B and C. The von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein binds to elongins B and C, thereby inhibiting transcription elongation.
