Target Information
POU5F1 (Oct-4)는 초기 발생 단계에서 처음으로 확인된 모계 발현 옥타머 결합 단백질로, 배아 발생에서 중요한 전사인자입니다. POU5F1의 기능은 줄기세포 생성 및 세포 대체 치료 연구에 활용될 수 있습니다. 또한 Sox2, Klf4, Lin28, c-Myc 등의 전사인자와 함께 발현하여 유도만능줄기세포(iPS 세포)를 생성할 수 있습니다. 최근에는 바이러스 도입 없이 플라스미드 발현을 통해 iPS 세포를 생성하는 연구도 보고되었습니다.
