Target Information
Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It plays a key role in inducing apoptosis in target cells through caspase activation and mitochondrial pathways. Granzyme B interacts with mannose 6-phosphate receptor to initiate cell death and is essential for immune-mediated cytotoxicity. In humans, fewer granzyme isoforms have been cloned compared to mouse models.
