A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with human, mouse, and C. elegans.
Predicted to react with rat, chicken, Xenopus, Drosophila, and plant species based on 100% sequence homology.
Cross-reactivity with Histone H3 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells.
H3, along with four core histone proteins, binds to DNA forming the nucleosome structure.
Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, which influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
