Description:
The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 563 (BUV563) emits at 564 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with an ultraviolet (355 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

Staining Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Excitation: 350 nm; Emission: 564 nm; Laser: Ultraviolet Laser.

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies serve as negative controls to distinguish non-specific background staining from specific antibody binding.
They help identify background caused by Fc receptor binding, non-specific interactions, or autofluorescence.
Commonly used in flow cytometry, but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody, and if the primary antibody is directly labeled, the control should have the same conjugate.
