Target Information
PRL-2, also known as Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 4A2 (PTP4A2), is a nuclear protein tyrosine phosphatase involved in regulating diverse cellular processes. PRL-2 shares 87% amino acid sequence identity with PRL-1 and contains a C-terminal consensus sequence for prenylation. It exhibits significant homology with Cdc14p and tumor suppressor PTEN/MMAC1. PRL-2 is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and at lower levels in other tissues.
