Target Information

The nuclear pore complex (NPC) serves as the sole bidirectional gateway for macromolecules entering and exiting the nucleus. Each NPC consists of approximately 1,000 protein subunits, termed nucleoporins, with a total molecular mass of about 110 MDa. NPCs maintain the integrity of the nuclear compartment by preventing macromolecules from freely diffusing in or out of the nucleus.
