Reconstitution:

• Briefly centrifuge vial before opening to bring contents to the bottom.
• Reconstitute sCD40L in 5–10 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5, to a concentration of 0.1–1.0 mg/mL.
• Do not vortex.
• Store the reconstituted solution at 2–8°C for up to 1 week.
• For extended storage, dilute in buffer containing a carrier protein (e.g., 0.1% BSA) and store aliquots at -20°C to -80°C.

Storage:

• Lyophilized protein is stable at room temperature for up to 1 month.
• For long-term storage, keep at -20°C, preferably desiccated.
• Working aliquots with carrier protein are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C to -80°C.
• Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

CD40 Ligand (CD40-L, also known as CD154) is a membrane glycoprotein and differentiation antigen expressed on the surface of T cells.
It stimulates B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion in the presence of cytokines.
Additionally, CD40 Ligand induces cytokine production and tumoricidal activity in peripheral blood monocytes, and co-stimulates proliferation of activated T cells accompanied by IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-2 production.
