CDK1 (Cell Division Control protein 1)는 세포주기 조절에 필수적인 단백질로, 세포가 유사분열(mitosis)을 시작하기 위해 필요한 START 단계를 완료하도록 합니다.
CDK1은 M-Phase Promoting Factor의 촉매 서브유닛으로서, 진핵생물 전반에 걸쳐 유사분열 진입을 유도하는 역할을 합니다.
광역학 치료 후 G2/M 단계에서 Bcl-2의 인산화는 CDK1 매개 신호에 의해 조절되어 세포사멸(apoptosis) 지연을 유도합니다.
또한 CDK 억제제 NU2058은 남성호르몬 비의존성 전립선암 치료에서 잠재적 효과를 보인 바 있습니다.
