Target Information

ZCCHC3 is a nucleic acid-binding protein involved in innate immune response to DNA and RNA viruses.
It binds DNA and RNA in the cytoplasm and promotes recognition of viral nucleic acids by sensors such as DDX58/RIG-I, IFIH1/MDA5, and CGAS.
Acts as a co-sensor for dsDNA recognition by cGAS, enhancing CGAS oligomerization and activation.
Also facilitates sensing of viral RNA by RIG-I-like receptors via dsRNA binding and promoting Lys-63-linked ubiquitination and activation of DDX58/RIG-I and IFIH1/MDA5.
