Target Information
EPHB4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Eph kinases play crucial roles in nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation. Ephrin ligands are divided into ephrin-A (EFNA) and ephrin-B (EFNB) classes, with Eph receptors grouped accordingly based on extracellular domain similarities and ligand affinities.
Ephrin receptors represent the largest subgroup of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). EphB4 binds to ephrin-B2 and is essential for vascular development.
