Target Information

ERN1 (Endoplasmic Reticulum to Nucleus Signaling 1)은 효모 Ire1 유전자 산물의 인간 상동체로, 고유의 kinase 및 endoribonuclease 활성을 가지고 있습니다.
이 단백질은 ER 스트레스 신호 전달에 중요한 역할을 하며, IRE1은 unfolded protein을 감지하여 XBP1 mRNA를 스플라이싱하고, 이를 통해 unfolded protein response를 유도합니다.
IRE1은 스트레스 조건에서 세포 생존에 필수적이며, ER 내 unfolded protein이 축적될 때 apoptosis를 유발할 수 있습니다.
