Target Information
The UBE2V1-UBE2N and UBE2V2-UBE2N heterodimers catalyze the synthesis of non-canonical Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains. This type of polyubiquitination does not lead to protein degradation by the proteasome but mediates transcriptional activation of target genes.
It plays a role in cell cycle progression, differentiation, and error-free DNA repair.
Acts with E3 ligases HLTF and SHPRH in Lys-63-linked polyubiquitination of PCNA during genotoxic stress for DNA repair.
Together with RNF5, regulates JKAMP function by decreasing its association with proteasome and ERAD components.
Promotes TRIM5 capsid-specific restriction activity and activates NF-kappa-B and MAPK-responsive inflammatory genes via the MAP3K7/TAK1 complex.
Catalyzes viral RNA-dependent Lys-63-linked polyubiquitination of RIG-I/DDX58 to trigger interferon beta production.
Mediates IL17A signaling through TRAF6 polyubiquitination with TRAF3IP2 E3 ligase. (Uniprot)
