Target Information
STAT3는 STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) 단백질 계열에 속하며, 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동한 후 전사 인자로 작용합니다. STAT3의 활성화는 Interferon-α, Interferon-γ, EGF, PDGF, IL6 등에 의해 유도될 수 있습니다. Tyr705 잔기의 JAK1 및 JAK2에 의한 인산화는 STAT3 이합체 형성, 핵 이동, DNA 결합에 필수적입니다. 인간 STAT3 유전자는 염색체 17q에 위치하며, 다양한 세포 성장 및 세포사 과정에 관여합니다. PIAS3는 STAT3의 특이적 억제 단백질로 알려져 있습니다. 세 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형체가 보고되었으며, STAT3 유전자 결실은 생쥐 배아 단계에서 치명적입니다.
