Target Information
TAL1 (T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia protein 1) is a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor that regulates differentiation and survival during hemopoiesis. It is implicated in the genesis of hematopoietic malignancies and plays a role in erythroid differentiation. Mutations are associated with T-cell leukemia and melanoma. TAL1 is known to bind to the LIM domain-containing protein Rhombotin-2.
