Target Information

ALDH2는 알데하이드 탈수소효소 단백질군에 속합니다. 이 효소는 알코올 대사의 주요 산화 경로에서 두 번째 단계에 관여합니다. 간에는 세포질형과 미토콘드리아형 두 가지 주요 아이소폼이 존재하며, 이들은 전기영동 이동도, 효소학적 특성, 세포 내 위치에 따라 구분됩니다. 대부분의 백인에서는 두 가지 주요 이소효소가 모두 존재하지만, 약 50%의 아시아인은 미토콘드리아형이 결여되어 있습니다. 이러한 차이는 알코올 급성 중독 빈도의 인종 간 차이와 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
