Target Information
This gene product belongs to the MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologs) family of membrane-associated proteins. MAGUKs interact with the cytoskeleton and regulate cell proliferation, signaling pathways, and intracellular junctions. This protein includes a conserved SH3 (src homology 3) motif, which is found in several other cytoskeleton-associated proteins involved in signal transduction. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, with one experimentally supported variant that does not encode a protein.
