Target Information
ATF3 (Activating Transcription Factor 3)는 mammalian activation transcription factor/cAMP responsive element-binding (CREB) 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 전사인자입니다. 이 단백질은 약 22 kDa의 분자량을 가지며, ATF 결합 요소가 포함된 프로모터에서 전사를 억제합니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 형태인 ATF3 delta Zip은 leucine zipper 단백질 이합체화 모티프가 결여되어 DNA에 결합하지 않으며, 억제성 보조 인자를 프로모터로부터 분리함으로써 전사를 촉진할 수 있습니다.
이러한 대체 스플라이싱은 표적 유전자 조절에서 생리학적으로 중요한 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다. 세 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 두 가지 이소폼을 암호화합니다.
